How the branding blossomed
In concept stage, this design went through many phases of trial and error. My team knew this game had to be beautiful both on shelf and on the table. It had to be unique but also approachable. We tried many themes, directions, and art styles. Once we felt we had a winning theme, I had to support it with winning graphics. Creating illustrations of a colorful and lush flowerbed was not the hardest part for me - I loved this subject matter! We opted for a stark white backdrop for this flowerbed to help it stand out the most. I illustrated all of the floral and greenery illustration digitally and carried this art style throughout the entire identity of the game - including the instruction sheet, cards, petal tiles, and trade fair / marketing assets.
